Asshole Letters is a satirical letter-generation service intended solely for comedy, parody, amusement, and entertainment. Its letters, templates, prompts, suggestions, and other content may use exaggeration, absurdity, sarcasm, profanity, fictionalization, or an intentionally provocative tone. They should not be understood as statements by Asshole Letters that any person has committed misconduct or that any factual allegation is true.
Generated letters are not legal notices, demand letters, governmental communications, findings of fact, and the services of Asshole Letters may not be used for such purposes. No particular result, recipient reaction, delivery outcome, or resolution is promised.
You are solely responsible for all names, facts, allegations, addresses, recipients, instructions, edits, and decisions to download, publish, deliver, or send generated content. You must verify the accuracy and lawfulness of everything you submit or use and consider whether the recipient will reasonably understand the communication as satire. You may not use the Services to threaten, harass, stalk, bully, defame, impersonate, discriminate against, extort, deceive, invade privacy, expose sensitive personal information, infringe rights, encourage unlawful conduct, or contact anyone in violation of a court order, no-contact request, workplace rule, contract, or applicable law. Labeling a communication “satire,” “parody,” or “a joke” does not excuse unlawful or harmful conduct, and Asshole Letters is not liable or responsible for any damages arising from your use of the Services.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website, Services, and generated content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, completeness, suitability, noninfringement, delivery, or fitness for any purpose. Asshole Letters does not endorse User Content or assume responsibility for a user’s statements, intended audience, use of generated material, or a recipient’s response. Your use of the Services and any resulting complaint, conflict, claim, loss, or consequence is at your own risk.
Terms and Conditions
1. Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”), which may be amended from time-to-time, govern your access to and use of www.assholeletters.com and any related content, products, features, or services (collectively, the “Services”) operated by A-Hole Letters, LLC doing business as Asshole Letters (“Asshole Letters,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Services, creating an account, submitting content, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement to use the Services. If you use the Services for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.
2. Services and User Responsibility
The Services may allow users to select, generate, customize, purchase, download, and request delivery of letters and related materials. We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.
You control the facts, names, allegations, tone, recipients, and use of each letter. You represent and warrant that the information you provide is accurate to the best of your knowledge; that you have all rights and permissions needed to provide and use it; and that your requested content and intended use comply with these Terms and applicable law. We may refuse, revise, or cancel a request that we reasonably believe creates legal, safety, operational, or reputational risk.
3. Acceptable Use
You may not use the Services to:
violate any law, regulation, court order, contractual duty, or third-party right;
threaten violence or harm, harass, stalk, bully, intimidate, blackmail, extort, or incite unlawful conduct;
publish or transmit knowingly false factual allegations, defamatory material, discriminatory abuse, or another person’s sensitive personal information without lawful authority;
impersonate another person or misrepresent the source, sponsorship, or official status of a communication;
contact a person who has lawfully demanded no contact or where contact is prohibited or restricted;
infringe intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, confidentiality, or other rights;
submit malware, scrape or overload the Services, bypass security measures, or interfere with other users; or
use the Services for spam, unauthorized advertising, fraud, or any purpose that could expose us or another person to liability.
We may review requests for compliance, but we are not obligated to monitor all content and do not assume responsibility for user conduct.
4. User Content
“User Content” means text, names, addresses, instructions, files, feedback, and other materials you submit. You retain your ownership rights in User Content. You grant us a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, modify, and transmit User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Services, fulfill your requests, enforce these Terms, and comply with law.
You are responsible for User Content and any resulting communication. Do not submit confidential, privileged, financial-account, government-identification, health, or other highly sensitive information unless the Services expressly request it and the Privacy Policy explains how it is handled.
5. Orders, Payment, Delivery, and Refunds
Prices, taxes, fees, delivery estimates, and available payment methods will be shown at checkout. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge all amounts presented before purchase. Orders are subject to acceptance, availability, fraud screening, and these Terms. We may correct pricing or description errors and may cancel and refund an affected order in our sole discretion.
Digital products may be delivered electronically and physical products or mailed letters may be handled by third-party providers. Delivery dates are estimates, not guarantees. You are responsible for providing complete and accurate recipient and delivery information.
6. Intellectual Property
Ownership. Except for User Content and materials expressly identified as belonging to a third party, A-Hole Letters, LLC owns all rights, title, and interest in and to the Services and all original content and materials made available through them, including the Asshole Letters name, logos, slogans, trade dress, domain names, website design and arrangement, software, source and object code, databases, workflows, letter-generation methods, prompts, templates, sample letters, written copy, graphics, illustrations, audio, video, downloads, compilations, and other creative or technical materials (collectively, “Asshole Letters Materials”). Asshole Letters Materials are protected by copyright laws, trade-secret, unfair-competition, and other intellectual-property laws. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved by A-Hole Letters, LLC and its licensors.
Limited license to customers. Subject to your payment of applicable fees and continued compliance with these Terms, Asshole Letters grants you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable, and non-sublicensable license to access the Services and use the final letter or other deliverable provided for your order for your personal, noncommercial, satirical, comedic, or entertainment purposes. This license does not transfer ownership of any Asshole Letters Materials, underlying template, generation method, software, or other proprietary material incorporated into or used to create a deliverable.
Prohibited uses. Unless Asshole Letters gives prior written permission, you may not copy, reproduce, modify, translate, adapt, publish, publicly display, distribute, sell, license, sublicense, rent, create derivative products from, scrape, harvest, frame, mirror, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, remove rights notices from, or commercially exploit the Services or Asshole Letters Materials. You may not use them to create or train a competing product or service, build a template or content library, imply sponsorship or endorsement, register confusingly similar names or domains, or use Asshole Letters branding in metadata, advertising keywords, or social-media identifiers.
Trademarks. “Asshole Letters,” “A-Hole Letters,” associated logos, slogans, designs, and trade dress are service marks of A-Hole Letters, LLC or its licensors. No right to use any mark is granted by these Terms. Other names and marks appearing through the Services belong to their respective owners.
Feedback. If you voluntarily provide ideas, suggestions, reviews, or other feedback about the Services, you grant A-Hole Letters, LLC a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable right to use, reproduce, modify, disclose, commercialize, and otherwise exploit that feedback without restriction or compensation, provided that this provision does not grant us ownership of User Content submitted solely for fulfillment of an order.
Intellectual-property complaints. If you believe material available through the Services infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property right, send a detailed written notice to info@assholeletters.com identifying the protected work or right, the challenged material and its location, your contact information, a statement of your good-faith belief that the use is unauthorized, and a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the rights owner. We may remove or restrict access to disputed material and may terminate repeat infringers where appropriate.
7. Third-Party Services and Links
The Services may rely on payment processors, hosting providers, printers, postal carriers, email vendors, analytics providers, or third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, terms, privacy practices, availability, or content. Your use of a third-party service may be governed by separate terms.
8. Privacy and Electronic Communications
Our collection, use, retention, and disclosure of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy, which should be read with these Terms. By providing contact information, you consent to receive transactional communications related to your use of the Services. Marketing communications, if any, will be sent only as permitted by law and may be opted out of as described in the message or Privacy Policy.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, noninfringement, accuracy, availability, security, or results. We do not warrant that a letter will be delivered, read, produce a desired outcome, avoid conflict, preserve a relationship, or be legally appropriate.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Asshole Letters and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, lost profits, lost data, reputational harm, emotional distress, or claims arising from a recipient’s reaction, even if advised of the possibility. Our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the specific order giving rise to the claim during the six months before the event, or (b) the sum of One Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($100.00). These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.
11. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Asshole Letters and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers from claims, damages, judgments, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable attorneys’ fees arising from your User Content, intended or actual use of a letter, violation of these Terms or law, or infringement of another person’s rights.
12. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate access, reject or cancel orders, remove content, or preserve and disclose information when reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect people or property, prevent fraud or abuse, comply with law, or respond to valid legal process. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, without time limitation.
13. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Before filing a claim, you agree to send a written notice describing the dispute and requested relief to info@assholeletters.com and allow 30 days for an informal resolution. Unless applicable law requires otherwise, any judicial proceeding must be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Greene County, Missouri, and each party consents to personal jurisdiction and venue there.
14. General Terms
These Terms and incorporated policies are the entire agreement regarding the Services and supersede prior understandings on that subject. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be enforced to the maximum lawful extent, and the remainder will remain effective. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets. Headings are for convenience only.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version, with or without notice; however, if any changes are material, we will provide any notice that may be required by law. Your use of the Services constitutes your express acceptance of the revised Terms.
